He completed his undergraduate degree in biochemistry in the University of California system, where he was the recipient of an Honors Program Scholarship. He then went on to Georgetown University to earn his medical degree before returning to UCLA, first as an intern and then as a resident in general surgery, eventually reaching the level of Chief Resident. He was also a postdoctoral scholar in the Division of Developmental Biology. He is currently a member of the American College of Phlebology.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Anjani Thaku<\/strong>r participated in a fellowship in pediatric surgery at the Children\u2019s Hospital of Denver and then focused on general surgery, including upper and lower endoscopy, trauma surgery, critical care, and open and laparoscopic surgery.
